Why a Home warrenty

Seems today every place you turn some one wants to sell you a home warrenty. When I buy something new I expect that it will perform as I expect it to for a period of time and I just can't see paying extra money to keep it in working order. It feels like a warrenty is often just another type of "revenue enhancement" that retailers use to bolster their bottom line.
On the other hand Real Estate sales aften involve "used properties" that no longer are covered by the builders new construction warrenty. What is some thing needs repair?
Home warrenty can usually be purchased on the condition that the fees will be paid when the property sells. All the while you have the property on the market you have coverage for a lot of things that could go wrong with your house either structurally or mechanically. Should you need to use the warrenty to make any of the covered repairs, you still will not have anything invested until your home sale closes. In some cases the repairs have been covered and yet the home does not sell in a reasonable amount of time and the seller lets the listing expire with out putting the property back on the market. No fee is ever paid to the warrenty company even though repairs were paid for while the property was listed for sale.
Ask me how you can cover your home with a warrenty and make prospective buyers feel better about buying your home.
